Cley Hill, Near Warminster. Wiltshire.

I visited this crop circle two days after it was reported and clearly it had received many visitors.

The criss-cross effect had been created by alternately layering tufts of crop along parallel lines, a work of some dedication and the finished product is remarkable when observed close up. In the outer area of flattened crop, texture has been produced through the creation of six diamonds abutting the sides of the cube, each with a flattened centre swirl.

As with many of the formations so far this year, the location next to a landmark hill gives the viewer the ability to see the formation in its full glory in the context of the surrounding landscape.
